Thoroughly modern old school . Julie had the benefit of starting her design life on paper, and then mastering computer design. She was a prominent Designer on the Gold Coast with a healthy clutch of established and respected builders who relied completely on her. It is a good way to become a good designer; direct and frank feedback from your builders plus interesting and challenging Gold Coast projects. This made her an all-rounder, she is just as comfortable sorting out the bearer sizing, as making recommendation about the floor plan. Our luck was that she followed family to Ipswich, and decided to take a break from design to do renovation and other stuff.
She didn’t escape design for long though, and she is back. Her major fault is being a building tragic. The weekend sees her and her tame Ryobi’s shifting walls, building wardrobes and working out better ways to build a sliding door.
