Mark holds dual registrations in Mechanical and Civil (including. structural) engineering, originally one of only two people in Queensland to do so. He has 35 years of experience in building materials and building. He has held senior roles in Australia, Europe, New Guinea and Mexico. He has designed and managed many major projects, including two which earned Engineering Excellence awards, and has developed several structural engineering patents. He is also an Open Class Builder, apart from major commercial work such as hospitals and power stations, he has built and restored a number of buildings by his own hand. He is just as happy with a nail gun, as analysing a complex steel structure with a finite element program. He is also registered as a Building Designer, Soil Tester, Completed Building Inspector, Sewage System Designer, and is a member of the Mine Subsidence Society.
