Sam started an engineering degree and worked for consulting engineers and council. He is competent at general building design, and structural design but has taken us to a new level with civil engineering. With the secret sauce from approving civil works at Council, his skills in site water management and geotechnical and slope stability investigation, and his love of moving dirt around, he is the go to person for navigating council requirements by designing site works and operational works that seek to minimise cost and maximise functionality. Growing up on a dairy farm, probably made this inevitable.
If you need your cow milked call Sam, we still lose him at ploughing time and harvest time, boys and big tractors. He still manages to escape occasionally to go shooting or hop in a boat and chase fish. Like the famous economist Kenneth Galbraith said, the advantage of growing upon a farm is that nothing else in life ever feels like hard work. Sam holidays with us.
